The Great Experiment, or TGE for short, was mrbrown's ambitious attempt at writing a replacement for the official RTE. Development was stopped for legal reasons when he began employment with a licensed PS2 developer around the start of 2004. The old source code is available in PS2DEV's Subversion repository but as yet. Mega Man has taken up the challenge of completing it. Already much of the ps2 hardware is supported in it.
